King Slayer

An incredible, but true, story; in 1559 Gabriel de Montgomery, a direct ancestor of Loch Leven Director, Kinross born Jamie Montgomery, accidentally killed the King of France, Henri II, in a joust. This was particularly unfortunate – and ironic – as Gabriel was the Captain of the Scottish Guards who made up the King’s personal bodyguard.

Like Gabriel, our traditional bitter, yet sweet, Scottish ale is strong and packs a punch.
